Hi. My name is Kelly Wong.

I'm a 30 year old freelancer currently in Toronto(ish) with my dog Charlie.
I make my living as an actor, but I build web sites too.
I love poutine, theatre, my girlfriend, DJ'ing, ketchup chips, being on stage, and my mom.

I'm jumping!

To be honest, I'm kinda surprised you're reading what I've written here.

People don't read websites.
They scan them.

Think about your own browsing behavior. How many times have you Googled something, clicked the top result, scrolled down, scrolled up, and then gone back to the results page?

Ten years ago you were wondering if you needed a website. Today the question is:

How can you prevent
your website from being

invisible to your visitors?

I love building websites. And by the time we're done working together, you'll understand how essential having one can be.

Alright, alright, enough reading. Go look at the pretty pictures.Wudjalookathat! You found an easter egg.

these are some of my babies.

All of my sites are built from scratch using a combination of HTML, CSS, jQuery and Javascript.

And as of 2012, I create all new sites using what's known as responsive web design. It's the most talked about trend in design communities for good reason.

Previously, web designers were forced to either create multiple sites for different devices or hope that their attempt at one-size-fits-all would work. Now the sites are built to respond to the user's environment, regardless of the device you're using to view it.

So go ahead! Try viewing dotwong.com on your iPhone, laptop, or any other device you have. It will look just as spiffy from one screen to the next.

Except maybe a Blackberry. But let's face it... no one could make anything look good on a Blackberry.

hello.

When it rains, it pours.

I'm a little swamped with builds right now, so at the moment I'm not accepting any new projects until Spring 2012.

But if you're curious about a quote or if you want to talk about the latest episode of Breaking Bad, drop me a line!
